Michal Czinege

He is frequently described as one of the most talented representatives of the upcoming generation of graduates of the Slovak Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In his works, he explores the relationship between the traditional medium of painting and new technologies. His paintings are created by combining various techniques. Photographic records transformed and deformed using computer software are used as a master model. The output is transferred to canvas or other material by means of a thick layer of paint. The intermingling of virtual and imaginary worlds with real objects is the inherent principle of all of Czinege's artistic production.
