Václav Stratil

A highly visible personality of the contemporary art scene, painter, conceptual artist and lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno. Pictures representing foxes are emblematic in Stratil's painting work. Besides painting, he focuses in particular on conceptual art, performances, photography and installations. To demonstrate his ideas, he uses various media; his body often serves as a tool to express himself. He is not afraid to be controversial; on the contrary, his performances tend to provoke the viewer to react.
