The German artist, Markus Selg, who currently lives and works in Berlin, is not completely unknown to Czech audiences. He has exhibited in various galleries in Brno and in Prague several times. Selg creates statues, objects, graphics, paintings and videos. His work is almost always based on a figure, mythological stories and recurring scenes from art history. Through his work, he tries to show art to the viewer again as something grandiose which exceeds our common reality.
