Otto Placht

Living for several years in the South American jungle with the Shipibo tribe became Placht's main source of inspiration. This graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague transfers to his large-format paintings not only personal impressions from the exotic environment but he is also inspired by native tribes' painting. Thanks to his distinctive expression and stories from the exotic Amazonia, he has made his mark among the general public. In Peru, he also met his wife, who comes from an Indian tribe.
