Christian Macketanz

The works by the current professor of painting at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Dresden, Christian Macketanz, stem from figurative realism. However, his style is very peculiar, transformed into its current form as a result of many influences. In terms of content, Macketanz focuses on people and anything human. His works are narrative and precise, the colours are always chosen with delicacy and with regard to the whole and the story which the picture passes onto the viewer.
