Martin Kuriš
Kuriš is one of those painters–narrators who pass a certain story onto the viewer through their works. In his case, they are always elaborate scenes full of concrete as well as symbolic references painted so that the message is legible. His subjects are on the borderline between fairy-tales, moral lessons, stories about traditional heroes, biblical stories and scenes from everyday life. Kuriš graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and in stage design from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
