Václav Krůček
In his works, Václav Krůček explores the surface structure and the illusiveness of things. He starts a play of light and shadow with the viewer through mesh, which he moves and transforms to create various complicated nets. He often uses simple, zinc-plated wires or wire mesh coated with acrylic paints. Despite these common materials, his works are characterized by certain poetics and fragility. From a distance, his pictures remind us of crumpled and again flattened out paper, or of cotton wool or cotton structure.
