Vladimír Houdek

His knowledge of art history enables Vladimír Houdek to work with forms, elements as well as specific works from the past, which he transforms in his paintings. A new perspective, a new way of interpretation of modernist and postmodernist works is important for him. Houdek originally studied window dressing, later he attended the Painting Studio of Vladimír Skrepl. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2013, a year after he had received the Jindřich Chalupecký Award.
